Valley Distribution & Logistics (VDL), is a young and growing Third Party Logistics Company founded in Memphis, TN with a vision of full North American coverage within 3 years.  We began operations in 2018 as a division of Vanguard Soap (a 3rd generation contract manufacturer in Memphis) but have quickly grown by taking on new customers that need our brand of customer service and focus.  This growth has allowed us the opportunity to separate from Vanguard Soap and become a standalone entity.

The Accountant position will work closely with our President and operations personnel and handle day-to-day bookkeeping, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary
  • Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis

  • Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations

To be successful in this role, you must have the following background and demonstrated skillsets:

  • 5+ years accounting experience

  • Expertise with QuickBooks
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
